The Stone Oak Business Association is a grass-roots organization helping to increase the voice of the small business and service community in the Stone Oak areas as well as provide a forum for the Stone Oak business community for the purpose of networking to create increased visibility and strengthen business relationships.

The Stone Oak Business Association was founded in October 2001 by Gina and Russell Groomer, owners of Welcome Home!, a community newspaper directly mailed to the homes of Stone Oak neighborhoods.

"The Stone Oak Business Association's mission is to educate, inform, and provide beneficial services to members," Gina says, "as well as actively represent, promote and support the business community of Stone Oak."

Once a month, Stone Oak Business Association members gather for lunch to enjoy an interesting speaker and the opportunity to meet each other and promote products, services and specials.

"The Stone Oak Business Association embraces the free exchange of helpful information, encouragement and mutual support and the expansion of Stone Oak businesses," Gina said. "We invite you to support our community and our Association by patronizing the member businesses and organizations."

As a way of promoting the community, a portion of the membership fees collected will be returned to the community in the form of a scholarship for at least one graduating senior of Ronald Reagan High School.
