Dear Business Neighbors:

Kathy Thalman, owner of K. Charles & Co. Salon and the Aveda Institute San Antonio, will be on hand to speak with fellow small and medium-sized business owners in the Stone Oak area.
Thalman reinvented the beauty industry in San Antonio. Since she opened her first salon in 1984 with 10 employees, she has been determined to provide a workplace that offers her employees a healthy balance between work and life.
At this month's SOBA luncheon, Thalman will be discussing, "What We Have In Common," highlighting the similarities between her business and those in the Stone Oak area. SOBA members, guests and business owners can gain valuable insight from Thalman's experience, success, business methods and commitment to providing a sustainable future for her employees and their families.

Today, K. Charles & Co. Salon has grown to three locations and Thalman employs over 75 individuals. In 2003, K. Charles & Co. was named by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of San Antonio's "Fast-Track Companies."
The company was also named "Best of San Antonio" award in both 2008 and 2009 by the U.S. Local Business Association.
