Submitted By John Paul

Congratulations to the Brandeis Varsity Orchestra for receiving sweepstakes at University Interscholastic League (UIL)! The Varsity Orchestra performed the Tchaikovsky Serenade without a conductor and received an unprecedented standing ovation at the end of the performance at contest. The orchestra received “ones” from all of the judges.

“I am so proud of all of these students who work so hard,” remarked Director Kevin Garcia-Hettinger. “Congratulations to our soloists and to our seniors. To our seniors, this was a fantastic way for you to end your UIL performance career. I am so proud of all of your work and how all of you have represented our school and orchestra.”

Congratulations again to all of the parents, students, private teachers and supporters of the Brandeis Varsity Orchestra!
