Happy Tricentennial, San Antonio!

We’re on top of the world! Or at least at the top of a recent list by Architectural Digest titled “The 5 Best Places for Design Lovers to Travel in January 2018.”
Among the publication’s praises for our city is the mention that we
are, in fact celebrating our Tricentennial, thus now is a “great time to discover all that this historic city has to offer, from the five frontier mission complexes that make up a UNESCO world heritage site and the recently expanded botanical garden to the city’s contemporary restaurant scene.”
Oh, and as for with whom we share this prestigious listing, the other cities are Singapore; Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy; Paris; and Abu Dhabi!
In 2018, San Antonio will mark its 300th anniversary: a rare, historic event that will be remembered for generations. The Tricentennial Commission, a public nonprofit, leads the way in celebrating and commemorating the city’s 300 years by developing a year of educational, artistic, and entertaining events. As San
Antonio takes the world’s stage, key initiatives include: History & Education, Arts & Culture, Community Service, and Commemorative Week. The yearlong commemoration will celebrate our memorable past and propel us into our equally remarkable future.
You are invited to join our community and be a part of the next chapter in San Antonio’s legendary story. Visit www.sanantonio300.org for more information.
