Kinder Ranch Tastes The World

Kinder Ranch Elementary hosted its Multicultural Art Show along with Tastings from around the World, led by Chef Mario Perez, on March 7. In addition, there were several P.E. Activities available for families to experience.

“I think everyone had a great time,” said Karen Williams, KRES art teacher. “Part of Art Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for all grade levels is to cover historical and cultural relevance.  Chef Mario and Heidi Feomaia, the Child Nutrition Manager at Kinder Ranch, really brought it home with Italian Bruchetta, Franciscan Artichoke Cheese Dip, Cuban Ropa Vieja, Greek Tomato and Cucumber Salad, and African Moroccan Quinoa Salad.”

Students demonstrated an understanding of art history and culture by analyzing artistic styles, historical periods, and a variety of cultures, and developed global awareness and respect for the traditions and contributions of diverse cultures.
