Your oral health is important. More important than you might think. Oral health is a window into your overall health meaning problems in your mouth can affect the rest of your body. At Voigt Family Dentistry, Dr. Randall Voigt is passionate about his patients’ oral health, wellness and comfort. With a centrally located office in the Vineyard Shopping Center near the 281 North/1604 Interchange and just minutes from I-10 and I-35, Voigt Family Dentistry conveniently serves patients all across the city of San Antonio. If you’re searching for a new family dentist, contemplating cosmetic dentistry, or experiencing pain and discomfort, you can trust your smile is in good hands at Voigt Family Dentistry.
San Antonio native and Jefferson High School alum, Dr. Randall Voigt opened his practice in 1987 after graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry.
“Since I was 10 years old, I knew I was going to be a dentist,” stated Dr. Voigt. “I love what I do and I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
His love for dentistry comes second only to his love for his family – his wife, Jeannine, and their five daughters. Nicole, Dr. Voigt’s daughter, is actually office manager at her father’s practice. Dr. Voigt’s staff is very much like an extension of his family. Lead hygienist, Crystal, has been with the practice for five years. From Nicole’s warm, positive energy to Crystal’s expertise, each member of the team is dedicated to making every patient feel comfortable and confident that they are in very capable and caring hands.
In 2005, Dr. Voigt decided to move his practice to the Vineyard Shopping Center. The north San Antonio office location is ideal – serving patients close to where they live, work and shop!
“We’re close to everything, including the Target and Whole Foods many of my patients have shopped at for years,” stated Dr. Voigt. “I chose this location because we’re right off the 1604 west bound access road in a very convenient spot right behind Pasha Mediterranean Grill and to the right of Napa Flats.”
Voigt Family Dentistry treats patients of all ages – children, teens, adults, and seniors – and expertly tailors treatment plans to each individual need. It’s never too late to address your oral health. You deserve to feel comfortable and to smile confidently. And with the state-of-the-art dental treatments and prevention options available at Dr. Voigt’s office including digital x-rays, cosmetic dentistry, restorations, orthodontics (including traditional wire braces and Invisalign), dental implants, CEREC same-day dental crowns, bridges, dentures, laser dentistry (for more precise, less painful treatment), veneers, sedation dentistry and more, there’s no better time than now to take care of your smile.
“I think what I’m most proud is the feedback we receive from our patients,” said Dr. Voigt. “People appreciate that we take the time to talk to them, to explain the treatment or procedure we recommend, and make them feel comfortable.”
In addition to superb customer care, Dr. Voigt uses what he considers to be the highest quality products in his field when it comes to dental implants, root canals, and more. Qualified patients missing all teeth in an arch can receive All-on-4 implants at Voigt Family Dentistry, a groundbreaking procedure in which Dr. Voigt provides patients with a permanent prosthetic anchored by only four dental implants. Permanent teeth are then attached to the implants, a comfortable, natural looking and innovative way to securely replace all missing teeth – and amazingly, the entire procedure can be completed in as little as one day.
Voigt Family Dentistry accepts most insurance which makes the type of high-end dentistry Dr. Voigt practices extremely affordable. In case of a dental emergency, Voigt Family Dental strives to accommodate same day, after hours and weekend visits. Over the Fourth of July holiday, Dr. Voigt received an emergency call, dropping everything to make sure the patient was seen.
“He wasn’t a current patient, but I knew he wouldn’t find anyone else and I didn’t want to see him go through the long weekend without being seen,” explained Dr. Voigt. “He would have been hurting the whole time and getting worse everyday, so I opened the office and took care of him. I really try not to say ‘no’ to anyone.”
Dr. Voigt recently added a new doctor to his practice, Dr. Lisa Robertson, to help ensure that every patient seeking dental care can be seen quickly at a time convenient for him or her. Like Dr. Voigt, Dr. Robertson knew from a very young age that she wanted to become a dentist.
“For me, dentistry is a vocation rather than something I fell into when choosing a career,” she explained. “It’s the perfect meld of healthcare, science and art and it has empowered me to help others. Everyone deserves the healthiest mouth possible and the smile they’ve always wanted and it’s very rewarding to play a role in the process.”
Dr. Voigt and Dr. Robertson are expertly trained to identify oral health issues that can eventually have a dangerous impact on your overall health.
“A patient may feel fine or be generally satisfied with their teeth, but what I’m doing is thinking about your health 10-15 years for now,” explained Dr. Voigt. “For example, when you’re bite is off, it can cause wear and tear and eventually lead to tooth loss. I’m concerned with the life of my patient’s teeth and how to prevent major issues down the road. A straighter smile is just a bonus.”
Dr. Voigt, Dr. Robertson and the entire team at Voigt Family Dentistry genuinely enjoy helping patients feel and look better and ultimately, live happier and healthier lives. It’s a rewarding profession that Dr. Voigt is still passionate about 30 years later.
“I just really like the feeling I get when I’m able to help someone,” he stated. “Some patients come in terrified, but when you’re able to sit with them and explain the process, reassure them, make them comfortable – the next thing you know, they’re letting you fix their whole mouth. Seeing that transformation in a person, that’s rewarding. I know not everyone can do what I do, and I’m grateful that my patients give me the opportunity to help them.”
