Reagan High School is happy to introduce three feature twirlers for the 2017-2018 school year. Twirlers perform at all Reagan football games and will be leading the Reagan Marching Band during the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day.
This year’s twirlers are senior Ashlyn Morris, sophomore Lily See and freshman Halle Burton. Ashlyn Morris has twirled for eight years under coach Pat Montgomery of the Alamo City Strutters. Ashlyn has competed on a local, regional and state level, and most recently won her X-Strut Competition in June at the Texas State Contest in Dallas. She competes as a beginner-level twirler in the 16+ division. Ashlyn also plays the flute in both the Reagan Marching and Concert Bands.
Lily See has twirled for seven years under coach Pat Montgomery, and competed in July at AYOP at Notre Dame. She also recently competed on a team comprised of area high school and college twirlers, Team Invictus, at AYOP, where the team placed in the top ten. Lily recently won the Texas State Solo for her division in June at the Texas State Contest in Dallas. Lily competes as an intermediate-level twirler in the 13-15 division and plays the clarinet in both the Reagan Marching and Concert Bands.
Halle Burton moved to San Antonio from Utah this summer and twirled under coaches Debbie Salem and Shaylie Fawcett in California for six years. Halle competes as an intermediate-level twirler in the 13-15 division at the local, state and national level. Halle also competes in pageants, most recently earning the title of 2016 All-American Girl National Jr. Teen. She is a member of the Reagan Color Guard.
Look for these talented young women under the lights at all the Reagan football games!
